Finally, some pictures from our fantastic Palm Springs vacation in December. We started going to Palm Springs, or more specifically, Rancho Mirage, in the early 80's when my grandparents would leave their home in snowy Michigan to spend two months in the warm California sun. They would rent a condo, and my parents, sister, and I would spend a week there with them each year. Once they passed away, my mom decided to continue the tradition with our family. My uncle Tom heard about it and thought it would be great for his Atlanta family to come, too. And so a new tradition began, four years ago now.
Colson fell asleep at 7 p.m. our first night there. No surprise, considering he didn't nap - at all - during the six hour car ride.
Hanging out in the "backyard" of the condo - to the right is a golf course.
We went to the Discovery Museum and Colson taste-tested the produce before putting it into his shopping cart. I'm sure it was all sanitized.
Danny and cousin Connor rockin' out. My cousin pulled double-duty - singing and guitar. He's so talented. I can remember reading stories to him when he was two years old, and now he's almost done with college!
The pools were warm. Yes, that's pools, plural. There was a pool for every 6-8 houses in the resort. My mom would drive to several each day and find the warmest one for her swim.
Cousin Gil and Colson. Gil flew out from Florida to spend two days with us, then traveled on to Beijing. Colson loved meeting new family members!
On our tour of The Living Desert. Danny commented that he wished the picture was more centered, but I pointed out that if it was, you wouldn't be able to see the giraffe on the right. So there.
My sister and me with our cousins - love these guys! I am, however, a little annoyed that I put on my pajamas before realizing that pictures were going to be taken.
On the golf course - to the left was our condo. Colson was pointing at one of the many airplanes that flew by. Can't you tell by the scenery how much we suffered?

Thanks for sharing about your awesome vacation! Great pictures!
Thanks for sharing your pictures! Looks lovely! Tell Danny that the pic with the girafee if perfect! It's always better to diviate from the standard centered picture rule, you never know what you might get! :)
