Slipping Through My Fingers

Last night my mom, sis, and I went to see Mamma Mia. There were some bad moments and some wonderful ones, too.

Bad Moment - Pierce Brosnan taking off his shirt to reveal a very hairy chest

Wonderful Moment - "Dancing Queen" - 70-80 ladies dancing and singing - very cool

Bad Moment - Meryl Streep breaking into song. There are some things that can be cheesy and okay in a musical onstage, but on a movie screen it's just cheesy, especially when the person singing has done so many other movie roles

Absolute BEST WONDERFUL moment - "Slipping Through My Fingers" - Meryl Streep is helping her daughter get ready for her wedding and she sings this song. Here are some of the lyrics:

Picture my sister and I crying through this song! She was thinking of her daughter, and I was thinking of my son AND her daughter. I'm sure that all of you moms feel the lyrics of this song. I did, and my son is only one and a half. So, bottom line - the movie is worth seeing.
