My friend Laurie is a genius. Back in May, she suggested that we take turns watching each other's children once a week. What exactly does that mean? Every other Monday, her twin boys come to my house and play. And every OTHER Monday, Colson goes to her house and I have three hours of time with Carridy, and sometimes my mom watches her so I have three hours BY MYSELF. Are you catching on to the true genius of the plan? This is a little preview into what fall will be like when Colson goes to preschool two days a week, and let me just say, I like it. I love my son, and sometimes I love him even more when I've been away. But it's also fun to have his friends over because they entertain each other. Here are some of the things they've done:
Hammering with styrofoam and golf tees
Paper towel tube telescopes
Lots of games
Lunch!
Water table
Fruit Loop necklaces - I tried to get a picture when they were finished, but they ate them too fast Sand table
Water slide; look at those muscles!

Moments that will be cherished forever!
This is so smart! And you will LOVE preschool. It's amazing how a little break makes you a better mom :)
Love it! Wish I'd had a smart friend like Laurie when my girls were that young!
That is the best idea.
