I really like July 4th. Like Thanksgiving, there are no presents involved, just good food and get-togethers. In the past, we've gone to my parent's house to see the Buchanan fireworks, and last year we were in Palm Springs (not quite sure why we vacationed there in the middle of July and 115 degree weather, but that's a different story). This year, however, we were just recovering from the stomach flu, and had shared it with my parents, so we stayed home. But we still managed to have some fun! Colson and I made a lovely headband together, and later we went to the house of our friends and neighbors, the Stockdales.

Biff, the fireworks master
Sparklers were definitely the highlight of the night
Lisa and her lovely daughter. Do you need any Pampered Chef items? Because Lisa sells them. Just saying.
The fireworks started to get a bit noisy by child standards. Our neighbor's son quickly made his way inside to watch through the window and fell asleep on the couch, and Colson ended up sitting in the garage with Danny to watch. Carridy looked like she was having a little seizure every time she heard a firework, and our neighbor's daughter fell asleep in her mom's arms. The adults enjoyed them, at least, and Biff was glad he only bought the basic pack. Thanks, Stockdales, for letting us hang out with you!
