Have you heard of flubber?
Here's the recipe:
Use three separate cups and dissolve 1 teaspoon 20 Muleteam Borax (laundry soap) and 1/3 cup warm water in each cup.
In a large mixing bowl, stir 2 cups Elmers glue into 1 and 1/2 cups of water; add food coloring if desired. After water and glue are mixed together, add one cup at a time of the Borax mixture to the glue/water mixture. Continue stirring while you add the next two cups, one at a time. Make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl to get all glue into the mixture.
Squeeze mixture together with your hands until all liquid is absorbed. At first flubber will be in pieces. As you continue squeezing, then kneading it, it will stay together and form a ball. It can be stored in a Ziploc bag.
