On The Hunt!
Our house has become the place for hunts: treasure and color hunts! Thanks to my friend Jenny for the great treasure hunt idea. We took pictures of places throughout the house - rocking chairs, beds, dressers, fridge, etc. I give him the first picture (for example, Colson's dresser). When he gets there, he finds the next clue. He keeps going until he finds the final picture clue, which is always the brown ottoman.

Once he gets to the ottoman, he finds the treasure. Sometime it's a snack, sometimes a small toy, sometimes a sticker or coloring paper. We've been doing an average of three per day!
The other, color hunt, is even easier. I put our color books on the carpet (or you could print out papers with the color words) and we choose one color, then run through the house trying to find an item of that color.

Once we've hunted for all of the colors, we race to put all of the items away. Simple!
